DR. Allis , Yes sir . Will do that . I was planning on changing fluid soon and good to know to do it as you said . To be clear though , whether going from high range to low range or vice versa , the neutral sweet spot is north of the detent . Also , when that is done and sitting there in that...- kbrad1956

Power director lever and linkage
Good Sunday morning all . On my 1978 Allis 185 , the power director lever is a little off . I have to move a half inch or so , forward of the detent to disengage or to stop . There is , to me , no noticeable slop in linkage . How hard is that to correct ? Any help or input appreciated . Thanks...- kbrad1956

1978 Allis185 surging by 100 to 200 rpm's
I have had this 185 for a year and have not worked with it a lot . I surges by 100 to 200 rpm's most of the time and when I take it up to 1500 or so it might jump by as much as 500 a couple of times and settle back into 100 to 200 surges . When under load it is not as bad but still unstable ...- kbrad1956

Reddy heater pro 115 runs then shuts off
I have a Reddy heater R55 , 55,000 btu . Never really had any trouble with it til now . When I fired it up this year it would run for a few minutes and shut down and after a few times of this it might start up and may not and then it would not fire at all .
