    FEL Hydraulic issue

Attached a pic of the front page of the downloaded shop manual I've been using. It is a multi unit manual: Models: MF255, MF265, MF270, MF275, MF290 It does give fairly good directions for repairs to a mechanic, (I guess not so much for someone wanting to discover what's wrong with discovered...

    FEL Hydraulic issue

So I switched the hoses from the loader and the bucket like you suggested. The loader lifts okay, albeit slow, but works. The bucket also works, but will have more tilt/lift if I really pull the levers back hard. Also, when I disconnected the upper left hose it came out easily when i just pulled...

    FEL Hydraulic issue

I've got a downloaded shop manual (from BestManuals). The bucket tilts fine, arms lower as usual. I pulled on all the hoses somewhat to see if any weren't seated okay. Yes, the boom lift is the only issue, but I can override it by pulling the lever hard. Don't have a gauge that high a pressure...

Jim.ME. Just posted some (poor) pics as you asked. Hopefully they will help you see how the hydraulics are piped

    FEL Hydraulic issue

The lever closest to the seat raises the bucket, next to it is the bucket tilt. Beside them is the 3ph lever. Believe the hoses on the left are for raising, the right are for the tilt. (This is a MF 236 FEL)

    FEL Hydraulic issue

Thank you for the reply. I wasn't sure if I had posted here last winter. Pictures of the connections to the levers will be a little difficult, but will take today anyways. (I have the old ROPS cab, and everything is buried underneath the seat).

    FEL Hydraulic issue

Hey all, Sorry about long post Have a MF 265, with a FEL. Last winter I was about to start plowing snow. As it was cold, I let the tractor warm up about 10 min. I exercised the fel bucket a few times as well as the 3ph. As I had stopped to open a gate, I had set the bucket down to stop it from...

    MF 265 FEL not raising

When I get back out to the tractor again, I'll pass on if things have resolved itself (or not). It just surprised me how it was operating fine when I started the tractor, while exercising the hydraulics. Then 5 minutes later I had to fight to raise the bucket

    MF 265 FEL not raising

I've used the tractor for quite a while. I've been able to raise / lower the FEL, (with the blade on the 3 pt hitch raised) easily. The issue just occurred yesterday. I'm wondering if it's just a blockage at a metering valve or something. It's a 1976 model, and issues are starting to show up...

    MF 265 FEL not raising

Internal, I believe. FEL is connected by 4 long hoses to 4 outlet points under the ROPS cab (2 for the bucket lift/lower, and 2 for bucket tilt up/down). Have 2 levers rt hand side of seat, and another for the 3 pt hitch

    MF 265 FEL not raising

Hey all. Was warming up my tractor to plow the snow on my driveway. As it was warming up, I exercised the FEL (MF 236) and 3 pt with an old (heavy) MF blade. FEL raised up and down fine 3 or 4 times, bucket tilted and raised fine, same with the 3 pt. Made 1 trip pulling the blade (about 300...

    Mower deck leaves winrow

Good to know the M5's cut the same way. My MF 1051 spreads the cut out evenly, but it has some issues I've been trying to deal with. Will just have to live with it for now, I guess

    Mower deck leaves winrow

Thanx for the help/info. My tractor tach is nfg anymore, so pto speed is by (memory) sound. Just tried my other mower deck (MF 1051), which left no winrow clippings, but has a weird rubbing sound. Just wanted to compare the 2 decks. As for the blade sharpness, I've never sharpened them, (and...

    Mower deck leaves winrow

Most of the grasses were about 12 -18" high. Front of the cutter is about 4 -5" off the ground, back end is around 8 - 9". Just assumed the cuttings would float out the back, instead of a side
