    Ford 1710 4x4 front driveshaft

    I pulled out the 4 bolts holding the drive shaft housing against the front differential. The housing will slide back about 1/4" and then stops so I'm wondering do I force it on off or something else?

    No. Got it used about 1998. Have had it ever since. I m a fair mechanic and found most info I needed via internet. Got the Shop manual but haven't gotten into anything major. Just like water pump and such.

    when I went to put it on a Ford forum it checked that this subject is being discussed on a different spot which turns out to be mine. Not sure what to do except delete this one and start new.
