Allis Chalmers I-40 motor to radiator plate connection
Last time I had it apart I cleaned out the threads the best I could, bought new lock washers and put a small tube of locktite on the four bolts and they still backed right out. Frustrating, since you can't get to them to make sure they stay tight.- Ken Brownell

I have an Allis Chalmers I-40 with an after-market loader that mounts to the side of the radiator assembly and arms that go to the rear over the axle. AC I-400 engine oil type
I have an AC I-400 based on the D-10 series III tractor and I cannot find anywhere in the books I have the recommended engine oil type. I would assume that it might use a 30# non-detergent, but really don't want to switch to the wrong kind and cause problems. Any ideas?- Ken Brownell
