    Shouldn't have to cut any of it. I drilled out the spot welds on one side of the seal holder and it fell off.

    Yessir. I have other seal numbers written down for 60, 70, and maybe 80s, along with Fleetline seal numbers.

    Chicago Rawhide seal number 33645 lip seal is what I used. I drilled out the three spot welds that held the rope seal bracket in and left half of the rope seal holder. Then the lip seal I used centered in the remaining seal holder and I JB welded it in. I did this about 35 years ago and it's...

    I have drilled out the spot welds on the retainer that held the rope seal and JB welded in a lip seal on two Oliver 60s, both with success. Also, with the rope seal it takes time, but it can be worked into the groove and by inserting a pipe held in a vice that's a bit smaller than the opening...
