    PTO shaft question

    i went through the same problem with a c tractor.. had to buy a shaft and a cuff. let me think a bit and i may be able to remember where i got mine,. all you need is the shaft>>?

    Cub clutch problems

    let motor idle slow, then try putting into 3rd gear first then other gear. see if that works for you. trannies are not synchronized

    if the pto is electric and i suspect that it is, jiggle the pto switch and try again.

    if you have the iron, it is not a really big job to install the wood. otherwise, your best bet, if you do not want to make one, is to see if you can find one on ebay, etc. farmall cub pitman and farmall c pitman are the same pitman.

    clean all electric battery connections; with emphasis on ground cable. remove ground cable from tractor and clean that part.

    another friend suggests that i loosen lower hose clamps, wiggle screwdriver underneath and let water out.

    block drain? is it a bolt , drain plug? where is it?

    got a cub with water in the radiator. i need to drain the water. drain plug is an allen head screw; looks like that it is rounded out. what would you do?

    a and c maybe same pump. there is a o ring seal on the shaft. maybe what is the problem.
