    Spring Plowing

    We used the wire thing back in the 40's. Every farmer worth anything had a roll of No 9 wire on the farm. Make it 2-3 ft. longer than the area where the soil turns completely over. Used to use alot of sweet clover for fertilizer, hard to cover for sure. You will know when you loose a wire. Lasts...

    Different Twist On Tillage In Central NY

    My dads happiest day was when he sold his last team of horses. Was born in 1911 and raised on a farm. If I can remember right sold the horses in 1947 or 8. Replaced by a 46 JD B and on old D.

    Don"t lift with a chain use a cable or strap. Chains are for tie-down and pulling stuff. Remember "The weakest link"

    Just remember to hook the sprayer up to the out side of the vacuum. Mom had one back in the good ol days.

    O.T. - Water pumping issue

    Why do people have to complicate the problem? Hook it up and try it. The worst thing that could happen is you will have to restrict the out flow to keep it from sucking air. Don't think that will happen.
