Yes Problem found, well two problems, first was with the original Magneto the Fm K4B had worn rotor and sticky carbon brushes. Second was I times engine at wrong timing mark. Someone prior had made a mark on flywheel I believed to be the correct mark, it was not. Installed the FM J4...- kenbow56

All good ideas on replies, Thanks. I might have a problem in my magneto it is a Fairbanks Morse model FM K4B. a couple of the brushes inside cap seem to be short and sticky inside their holes. The rotor is a round one and has a kinda deep dished out spot right on top center of brass...- kenbow56

new plugs, timing set, carb clean, fuel fresh, tank and line clean. starts right up even after dying out on pull. when I take off to pull the sled it chokes and misses horribly. this is at full throttle taking off, and down the strip, just won't rev and pull. chokes and gags, misfiring.
