    working on hydraulic pump. tore down a few months ago. going back together with it. front , inside of pump, schematic shows a back up washer, on pesco pump. i do not find any old ones, that i tore out. i do not see any in the parts package that i bought. do these have to be in there?

    i hooked a 140 farmall to the tractor, day or so ago, and it would not move on a down hill pull. hmmm neighbor brought a larger tractor today, and the wheels rolled. thanks for inputs.

    gas tank cap

    i have the new style of gas caps on farmall 140. removed it this morning to put gas in tank. some powdery substance fell out of the cap. this would not be good getting into gas. i knocked the cap against side of tractor, etc. and more powdery stuff came out. i changed the cap any of you all...

    around here, middle tennessee, the tractor alone, would bring $1500 to $3000, depending on condition.

    Super C oil pressure

    in these parts, mid tenn, it is our experience that pressure tends to be low. doesn't seem to hurt engine.

    belt is rubbing a brace and is turned over. i don't see a way to fix this. the belt would seem to rub regardless, unless the brace is installed incorrectly.

    it looks like that your belt is riding on the other. it has came out of the pulley and onto the other. ??? mine is riding on a brace lower on the tractor and i don't see a cure at the moment. see pic right hand belt is turned over.

    Starters dead, Need some advice!

    just a thought, you did not say, have you tried taking the starter off the tractor and bench testing it?

    very similar. mine has a brace that the belt is rubbing and caused it to turn over. don't see a way to fix. the brace would have to be relocated.???

    one of the drive belts on the cub is rubbing a brace? and the belt is turned on the pulley. i don't see any apparent way to fix the problem without taking it apart; maybe not then. location is on the right side of tractor, rear of engine. a good picture may be helpful.

    A friend of mine had a 1 ton truck start, in gear, run into the rear of the shed and spun the tires until something got so hot it burned. a battery disconnect probably would have prevented this.
