What lubricant do you use on linkage

When linkage is apart I use white lithium grease. Otherwise engine oil or general purpose spray lube. kevin110

    Deck wash port on mowers

DO NOT use that wash port. You want a clean DRY deck. The water is also a BAD idea around the bearings and other metal parts. kevin110

Lawn mower (tractor) maintenance - Anybody else do this?

My 46 inch cut riding mower is a1995. I got it around 2008. Deck was slightly used as they had the garden tractor for mainly snow blowing. I always scrape the deck after each use. I did sand and painted it about 16 years ago. Deck is solid. I have seen rotten decks that are only 10-15 years...

    New to me MF150

Hi, looks like a good deal on such a great tractor. I have a 1970 MF30 industrial since 2008. I ended up rebuilding my hydraulic steering cylinder. The a few short years later I put a new power steering pump sourced from Massey Ferguson. Works like new. kevin110

    Too fast in reverse

Hi, I have a MF30 industrial. Shuttle shift 6x6. I never use high range, too fast .Low range is good. Seems like same speed forward as reverse; works great for loader work. I actually use 1st and second gear low for everything. Snow blowing included. kevin110

    Plastic tool box disintegrating

I find that over time plastic will fail. It will shrink and crack. Dry up and crack and warp. Sometimes it will shatter. Plastic that is still sturdy can be patched with thin sheet metal or aluminum with auto goop and pop rivets. kevin110
