    Looks like a Simplicty Model V. I have the same one. Lot's of fun. 8HP, very strong. Can bury the 10" single bottom plow and run all day long.

    I like it, that's what I was thinking. I need to find a mower deck for my Model V and do something similar for getting under trees and stuff. Can you take a picture of the belt arrangement? I may be able to modify a old riding mower deck for just such a use.

    I have a '51 Model V. Original 8 hp engine, 12" Plow, snow blade, sulky. Had the snow thrower but it looked too dangerous to attempt using. Would like to see what you did with the mower. Cant tell from the pictures.

    Thanks for the replies. as I'm reading that is what I'm finding out. I'm just going through a high idle problem and am check all of the settings and found the broken screw.

    I have a TO30 with the bumper screw broken off flush with the jam nut. I can remove it, but governor pre-load adjustment is out of the question. Which leads me to several questions; Are they available? If so anyone have a link I'm coming up empty handed? Ebay, etc seem dry. Part#...

    Not so far as I can tell. Re-wring the circuit later today and tomorrow. As for the battery yes it is still positive ground.

    Thanks for the quick replies. I am going to re-wire with 12 ga. with a fuse. As for the switch, I did give that some thought too. I might wire in a temporary to remove that as a variable.
