Thank you! For $12 I ordered from Amazon and used Prime shipping, so I'll have it Wednesday. I can't be lured to an auto parts store for a dollar, but I might go there to save three bucks. Appreciate the answer. - Ken -

Ford 3000: two threaded holes in castings, for what?
Thanks for the answers! The guy who sold me the tractor said it was a '75, but I think it's actually mid-60s. Doesn't really matter, but I wish I had researched the serial number scheme and shown him it was older to help get the price down. But I paid $3000 and I'm happy with it. In California... -

I think I've answered my own question. All of these numbers are on the LEFT side of the tractor - what I need is on the RIGHT side of the tractor. I'll go back and check the numbers on the right side. Then, it'll make more sense when I look at these... -

Hey there, going over this new -to me- tractor and came across two threaded holes in the lower casting, under the engine and to the right of the oil filter. You can see them in this photo. What are they for? Should they be plugged or should I put a machine bolt in them? Thanks, Ken -

3000 Gas Tractor: part number for this oil filter?
Can anybody identify the NAPA part number for this oil filter on my Ford 3000 3-cylinder gas tractor? I think it's the push-on type - figured that out by loosing the nut and watching the oil spew out before I drained it. Maybe an on-line source for it would be helpful, too! Thanks, Ken -
