    Ford 172 overheating

    I have a Ford 172 industrial in a Hydra Mac skid steer that is over heating, just got back from shop, blown head gasket, runs Great, took thermostat out and did not replace as told it would be ok, flushed out radiator, new antifreeze, after 15 minutes temp up to 240, any suggestions?

    This motor is in my Hydra Mac skid loader, I am unable to locate the timing mark on the pulley as well as unable to get the engine started with temps below 30 degrees.     I think I have a 18c Hydra Mac skidsteer and am changing the hyd fluid and filters, do I have to use dextron 2 transmission fluid or can I use Hytran instead? Looks like that is what was in it but want to be sure

    Int Cub PTO Jumps out

    the shifter arm had to be replaced and noticed the collar that locks it in place was missing the set screw as well, Now it works like it should ,,Thanks to those who helped!!!!!!!!!!!!
