    Backhoe Plumbing

OK, this all makes a lot of sense. I first have to find out if either have power beyond. If I locate part numbers (through 50 years of slow leak hydraulic fluid) will you guys be able to tell me what I've got? I picked up the hoe yesterday - it is stout! It took a 7 ton excavator and a large...

    Backhoe Plumbing

Thanks Sean, that makes sense. So a valve like this http://www.surpluscenter.com/Hydraulics/Hydraulic-Valves/Selector-Valves/1-2-NPT-30-GPM-SINGLE-SELECTOR-VALVE-PRINCE-RD950-9-7895.axd will allow me choose which implement has the pressure. OR if the backhoe has a power beyond I will have three...

    Backhoe Plumbing

Hi guys, thanks for the consistent good advice. This truly is the best place to look for info on old Fords. I just purchased a 713 backhoe that I plan to mount to my '65 4400. The tractor currently has a FEL driven by a crank powered pump. I know some valves have power over or a bypass...

    Will this Backhoe mount up?

Well now I all I need is the the "seller" to get back to me... maybe that's why it's been on CL for 5 months!

    Will this Backhoe mount up?

I have something very similar to the lower 1/2 that held a weight box but not the vertical portion or the upper horizontal. The seller says that he has "everything" it's 50+ years old and has been sitting for a year? How much should I offer? Thanks again!

    Will this Backhoe mount up?

I appreciate all of the knowledge that you guys share on this site, I've learned a ton! I have a '65 4400 w/a FEL. Will this backhoe mount up or was it for a older model?

    rear end swap advice

I've really gotten a lot of great information by reading this forum. I'm hoping for a little more. I have a 65 (maybe 75) 4400. There is no 3 point and there is a leaky axle seal. It has the 4sp hi/low trans and an independent PTO. Looking at craigslist I saw this...

Re: Got started on the 4400 power steering today

Going to dig in this weekend but was giving thought to the way this thing works. The set screws you indicate seem to limit the control arm travel. Seems like tightening would reduce PS for that direction. Am I looking at that correctly?

    Sorry, I hijacked Bunky1267's thread. Mine is a 4400.

Ford 2000 nose cone inside bellhousing

It's a single clutch IPTO. I was hoping that I could see the actual clutch plate. Some vehicles have an access plate underneath, with a mirror or camera can you see the clutch disk from under the steering? I haven't seen a pic so I'm having trouble visualizing. Thanks!

Ford 2000 nose cone inside bellhousing

With the steering box off can you see the clutch thickness? Adjust the pressure plate? My clutch only engages at the very top of the petal. It would be good to know for sure what's going on in there before I split the thing. Thanks.

Anyone want a free SIMS cab for a 4500 TLB?

I'm in Cortland. I'm looking for $400-$500, it has all of the glass but is missing the lower part of the door. I'm pretty sure it will work with a 4500 because they have the same rear axle. [/img]

Good to know, looks like an interesting project. I have a lot of work ahead of me, going through this tractor. I appreciate the help.
