What was I thinking?
I had a 55 Chevy pickup that my dad bought new. I didn’t have the money to restore it so I gave it to my grandson. His father is supplying the money and all three of us are doing the work. I’m 78 so I get tired quickly lol.- kito69

2000 F150 air conditioner issues
If the vacuum pump won’t pump down to 32” hg it is a cheap one. I have a Robinair pump. I pump the system down to 32” hg and let it sit closed for 4 hrs and haven’t any problems. I also changed the filter/drier. The filter/drier change is good insurance. -

JD 4240 Air conditioner
Do not use the sealer. It will clog your system. I ran into a similar problem on a 4240 several years ago. The hoses had deteriorated. After I replaced the hoses there was no problem.- kito69
