    Intermittent Spark Issue

I’d imagine they would be testing by the way the manual calls for which is holding the sprarky wires above a head bolt. Intermittent Spark Issue

Sometimes that’s all it takes, that’s all it took me, as for the carb make sure you set it both adjusting screws at 1 1/2 turns out as a baseline, you can fine tune it from there

    Intermittent Spark Issue

I would say myself something is moving causing the spark to stop at full starter speed and work when its at lower speeds, possibly worn bushings in the distributor shell causing the breaker cam to have excessive play at speed (making the points open wonky) or something funny with the weights...

That is 100% not an N series Ford and is in fact a real photo. possibly a case of "modified" machine syndrome, maybe?

Most probably the ones with some parts reversed and others not reversed are likely not real, most likely AI generated (there should be signs of A.I. generation. if the whole thing is reversed sometimes phones reverse pictures for some reason.

1950-51 8N whim purchase **OH BOY! IM IN TROUBLE**

Have you checked valve operation? There should be two covers under the manifold that you can remove to see. 100psi is still good compression for those engines, trust me these are good tractors sometimes it takes a dream of figuring out what’s wrong to actually figure it out but it’s worth it in...

Also would the check chains being installed upside down holding the bottom arms down cause the rings to blow out when the pump tries to lift the arms all the way up when it can't? I did fix the chains now but just wondering if that has had anything to do with the problem.

What do I put the tube in to prevent spillage? a container so that I can pour the oil back in or do I just run the line a lot longer and right to the transmission filler plug?

The ol 9N aint no show piece, but it is 100% a workhorse. Glad I ain't the only one that read that as an episode ending style dramatic dialogue.
