    well I have some more pictures of parts like the sickle tip. it still has its shoe and tip and the apparently very rare attached rod still. As for parts Aktiv has been gone since 1984 I believe so no parts left but nothing some redneck ingenuity couldn't fix i suppose

    If you want to paint it to look factory do it the way ford would've done... go to your local store and buy the cheapest dark gray paint that is enamel or whatever kind of automotive/farm paint you want and use that. then you can confidently say you've painted it like henry ford himself...

    hobo, I just looked it up rtv is technically classified as a gasket sealer I was thinking you meant silicone rtv like the stuff they use to seal rv roofs and stuff. (oopsie). Suppose they say you learn something new everyday I surely did.

    Fair enough when applied right RTV stays on just as any gasket sealer, I didn’t say RTV was horrible I was saying it’s frequently found on customer states or seen in the hands of a redneck hence “it’s on the same level as duct tape and bailing wire”

    OOH boy 5-8psi ain't bad at all for starter cranking speed now you wanna talk about low, mines low mine can barely make 20psi at full wide open throttle, and the gauge drops below 5 at hot idle. these engines are fine on low oil pressure, if you want more rebuild the oil pump or use a thicker...

    Still amazed with these old ford tractors

    I feel like most on the internet forget that these tractors aren't beasts of horsepower or torque, tryna run a 10ft air seeder ain't a fair test. (nobody has done it I'm creating an example) they work well for their intended horsepower range. I have even seen someone run a woodchipper off an 8n.
