420 John Deere
Where do you purchase a resister? Does anyone have a part number or example? How was a bad ignition switch causing it to run poorly?- ksujim

420 John Deere
I have a 420 that coughs, sputters and barely runs. We converted it to 12 volt. I sent the carb to a professional shop for a rebuild. New plugs, points, condenser. After sputtering awhile the intake manifold gets cold to the touch. (I understand the physics behind this.) What am I missing...- ksujim

Severe oil usage/ smoke on a JD B
I know its not air cleaner oil. But you wouldn't believe the 1 inch of solid gunk in the air cleaner bowl. It couldn't have been cleaned for YEARS. Thanks for all responses...keep thinking. I will not get to the tractor until later this week.- ksujim

Severe oil usage/ smoke on a JD B
My brother bought a later model B a couple of weeks ago. It ran great the little we have run it. I mounted a small seed spreader on it and was spreading some red clover seed and all of a sudden smoke starter rolling out of the muffler and exhaust manifold. The engine made no unusual noises and...- ksujim
