    Gear selector issue

    IH 706, seems the shifter isn't lined up with the gear markings on the console. Ex: trying to put in reverse, you basically have to slam it down to the bottom of console, sometimes it won't even find reverse. Is there a linkage adjustment somewhere? Shifts fine otherwise, but seems it's not...

    At my wits end. Tractor was running fine until a month ago. Idles amazing, but as soon as I put some throttle to it, it stumbles....can only get ot to around 2500 rpm, and wont go past...like its missing oe something. Oil level is good, just changed fuel filters, and still wont climb. Grey-ish...

    I have a question. Im new to the old tractors, and sort of have a clue on how to read these tachs, but I just want to be sure. Can someone explain? Also, I have an IH 706, and have an old 14ft JD double disc. What is the optimal range for pulling? RPM, speed, gear etc. Thanks!

    Ok, so I took the return off just for shits and giggles to blow some air through the tank, I can definitely hear the air getting to the tank, but once hooked up, she dies again. Loosened cover like you said, and runs better, but still wants to stall out. I guess I'll remove the injector pump and...

    No water trap to speak of. Assuming the return line is plugged, would that cause some ba k pressure?
