    Ford 172 fuel pump

You can try this site as well. They have several Ford fuel pump diaphragms that look similar to your original. Maybe a phone call to them can help determine the exact one for your application https://www.then-now-auto.com/product-category/fuel-pump-kits/ Kurt

timing engine on Ford 861 tractor

FYI. The manual also shows the timing marks on the face of the flywheel when looking through the access hole. I have an 860 and my timing marks are on the OD surface. If you didn't look at that surface the marks may be there. I've attached a photo of mine so you can see the location I'm...

    Marvel Schebler TSX-706 leaking

Thanks for the reply. I do shut the fuel off each time. I think is is just the fuel in the line making its way via gravity. I will proceed with investigating the needle not seating or a float issue. Thanks again!

    Marvel Schebler TSX-706 leak

I accidentally posted this to the 9N, 2N & 8N forum but not sure if these were used on those vintage tractors or not. I assume they were similar, but thought I would also post here since it is from a Ford 861. Hello all! I have a Marvel Schebler TSX-706 carburetor with a leak. It was not...

    Marvel Schebler TSX-706 leaking

Hello all! I have a Marvel Schebler TSX-706 carburetor with a leak. It was not leaking until recently. With engine off it slowly weeps from the bottom of the bowl at the brass screen (see picture attached). It is not leaking from the plug. I suspect this is from a float needle that is not...

    Ford 860 Hood Removal

Any luck Buffaloman? It looks like by the pics, just the points of the nuts are worn off. Were you using 12-point wrench/socket? If so you can try getting a 6-point wrench in that size. They conform better to the nut surfaces including the flats. If you have them, it may be worth a shot or...

Adding a photo of the stud welded to hood leg. Hope this heps my description.

    Ford 860 Hood Removal

Don't cut it off. The bolt (stud) is part of the hood leg assembly and can't be replaced. Ford welded the stud to the legs of the hood and they can't be replaced. Leave some penetrating oil on the nut for a few days and then apply some heat with a propane torch to expand the nut a little...

    Ford 860 Hood Removal

Buffaloman, I have an '57, 860. Hopefully this pic will help. The front grill has 2 wingnuts on top and once loosened the grill tips forward like a hinge so you have access to the 2 bottom front leg fasteners. The bottom of the grill and the hood legs use the same bolts/stud. (Those...

    Ford 860

I rebuilt my 861 governor a few years back and I was able to find most of the parts at Lowe & Young Inc in Wooster, Ohio. They didn't have the roller balls, but I was able to find those locally in Michigan at Skips Repair in Hamburg, Michigan. Hopefully between those 2, you can find...

    NAA Air Filter

Try a web search for part number 723568 and/or 230056 and see if that's what you remember in your younger days. Kurt J

    Jubilee 4cylinder gas

Not sure exactly which tube you need. However here are the part numbers for both from the 800 series. As Showcrop said they should be the same. Schematic also attached #36 Long feed tube from push rod cover up - 86531523 #44 Short tube for oil drain back out of rocker arm tube - EAF6588E...

    172 gas intake/exhaust manifold

I would suggest that if you are going to bead blast it, make sure you clean it really well when done. You do not want any of that blast media to be pulled into the combustion chamber.

Freeze plugs in a Ford 860

I replaced the freeze plugs in my 860 last year. Use the biggest socket you have to get them started into the bore. Once started, I used a piece of small flat steel on the top rim of the plug to seat them all the way into the block. The plate steel will also keep you from pushing them too far...
