I need bearing 39048D cross referenced

Double check that 1100C number. It doesn't look like an IH number. There is one IH bearing I found with an 1100C in the number, but that's not the whole number. The one I found was 381100C91 which appears to be a tapered roller bearing and cross references to Timken pn 390A-902A2.

Super C first start in 34 years

Right on man. That's fantastic! Though not nearly as long a time, my dad's Farmall C sat for a few years after he died before I moved home and took it over. It was good bonding and therapy with my grandfather and me, to get it running once again. Needed fresh gas, a new rotor in the distributor...

    Restoration Quality Case 400 Rims

Hello. I'm an IH guy normally, but a buddy just inherited a family heirloom Case 400 that he wants to restore. The first thing it needs he says are rims and tires. Can anyone point me in the direction of good used original, or as-close-to-original-as-possible rims? I don't even know the part...

    Farmall ,Woods mower

I just looked and my C with a Woods L306 had a Woods Belt number 13425. Hope this helps!

    Super W6ta

If the price weren't terrible, I'd be interested. Especially if the engine were bad and the price reflected that. I am looking for a late SW-6 like this with a bad/missing engine for a project.

    Super W6ta

Taste (and price commanded) are highly regional too. Where is it?

    Alameite and IH

I *believe* the ones issued with Farmall C's were Lincoln, but I can't swear to it. I have an old Lincoln lubricator that looks identical as far as I can tell, to the one in my Farmall C parts book.

    Tractor works question

Forgive my ignorance, but why no fuel in the Petty cars? Was it because they were going to tear the engines down when they received them, or because they were going to put their own special fuel in them, or was it something else?

    Another one follows me home

To hear some people talk, it's like they're all in the business of flipping antique tractors. God knows, members of my own family are like that too. For 99% of us, this is a hobby. Hobbies will cost money once it's all added up. I see so many guys that can't get out of their own way to just...

Very few, if any of the cast parts are steel.

    H in a fire

I would add: sheet metal is not a stress bearing component whatsoever. It's definitely salvageable. Anything you save should be acid cleaned, to remove rust and prepare the surface for new primer and paint. At the very least, ensure you use "etch primer" in order to deal with the underlying...

    H in a fire

There have been a lot of nonsense replies here. For one, it's not true that heat is heat is heat. Temperature means a heck of a lot in how it effects metallurgy. However, it's going to be pretty hard to know how hot that fire got. One thing that IS possible to know if how heat effects...
