Very Sick Farmall 706 Gas Need Help

Tom I was pulling a 4X14" trailer plow 10"s in sandier ground but had to come up to about 6 in the GUMBO. I would love to dyno the tractor but haven't the slightest idea who has one anywhere around me (Union County KY). But I'm sure these other things need to be checked just the same as I...

Very Sick Farmall 706 Gas Need Help

Your right i it certainly has no screw, and the solenoid valve is unhooked (just a dead end wire from it). Engine is shut off by cutting power to coil....I believe. I'm not up to par on knowing how to check the timing advance on the dist. but my neighbor who helped me fix brakes, hyds, and pto...

Very Sick Farmall 706 Gas Need Help

First off...I've already got more money in this thing than it's worth!! BUT I like it. Took it to a friends place for an annual plow day and was darn near embarrassed!! Had to pull a 4X14 in LOW 2nd gear and it didn't like that when I got to the Gumbo (black dirt). So far from what I can tell...

706 hitch pump didn't fix problem

We were discussing some of my other issues aswell, 540 pto seal leaks like a sieve, brakes and t/a aswell, he may have been including that. I removed that part so it doesn't cause a controversy. He wasn't charging me that either he was just making an estimate as to what CaseIH dealer here would...

706 hitch pump didn't fix problem

After a short process of elemination, new filters, new orings, and new hitch pump, an old IH mechanic showed up today and ran a pressure test, load test, flow test, and relief test. Brand new pump 4GPM, pressure 38psi. After the test he assured me of a serious internal leak, and showed me an...

    706 HITCH PUMP QUESTION

I tried that and got gergling in all three positions. I have a gas compressor, so it was hard to be very accurate over the noise. Then I realized I still had the loader hoses hooked up, that shouldn't have mattered should it?? Where is the sealing ring at, and what does replacing that consist...

    706 HITCH PUMP QUESTION

After further investigation of that smaller port, I don't believe it goes anywhere. Looking at it like in the picture, it looks to me as if it goes about 3/4" deep, then makes a 90 degree turn down, which is the back of the pump that has a cover with 4 bolts and a gasket holding it on.... ...

    706 HITCH PUMP QUESTION

Changed the filter as soon as I got the loader on and it wouldn't pick it up, uncles 460 done that once and a new filter solved it, as to the groove yes it has a groove around it, but no oring, I looked around the floor and oil bucket in case it just fell off, but haven't seen it.
