    Unfortunately I already did it last night and did not see this post till this morning. Fortunately the holes were already the right size so all I had to do was put in a few threads and if I ever wann go back to old head its just pulling the plugs. What's the name of the kit oliver made for this.

    Thanks for the info! This engine is in my 77 pulling tractor. I pulled it some last year and when I dynoed it it was under powered so I had this extra head I had worked over (bigger valves polished) in the meantime. Took it apart and sleeves are great but rings were wore and 2 cracked valves. So...

    Sorry both are gas. The dirty head is the old head that came off the block and the silver head is the new one Im putting on. The old head doesnt have the stamped number that the silver head has on it, the casting is diffrent in that spot. Thanks in advance for any help.
