Thanks for the input, guys! I figured before I start pulling the front of the tractor off, I would try and extract the sheared off bolt. Looking at the broken bolt, I was sure it had been stretched and was pretty much a permanent part of the crank shaft. I cut a slot into the end of the bolt...- KZR455

Looking into this further this may not be a good idea. It seems the cam may be cast iron. Does the motor indeed have to be pulled to replace cam? Could it maybe go out the back of the motor? Thanks- KZR455

Installing PTO hydraulic pump vs tapping into rear lift pump
I'm building a 35-40 ton 3 point log splitter that will be run by a Ford 3400. What are the pros and cons of using a PTO Hydraulic pump vs tapping into the rear lift pump. Any thoughts would be appreciated.- KZR455
