    900 Series Ford Tractor

    Just for the novelity of having a V8 in one of these tractors. I have three other trycycle Fords with the 4 cyl. engines in them. I use them for tractor pulling. They do a fantastic job on a pulling sled.

    Has anyone out there ever installed a 302 Ford V8 in a 900 series tractor? I know it can be installed in an 800 Series. Just curious, I am thinking of installing a 302 Ford in a 950 tractor.

Looks like the transmission was built on 12-29-1952 and the engine block was built on 1-25-1945. According to serial # it was assembled in 1953. Somewhere along...

    No, it doesn"t have live Hydraulic. I don"t know if it ever had live Hydraulic. It has a Hyd. pump in clutch housing. I guess it is just a cobbled up Super M. but it has excellent H.P. The last time I had it on a Dyno. it was making 52 H.P.

    Thanks for the web page for date codes. Although the codes do not go beyond 1947 which is "Q", the code on my engine block is 1*25*O. It is not a "Q" as was used in 1947 so that would make this block a 1945? Am I correct?

    It definately is an "O" and not a "Q" so I think it is probably a block from a 1945 model M. The Chassis has a SM code.
