    I had trouble with the 880 for a while and had to run the choke, with the float sticking up, only partially open. It's worked itself out but might check that it is quite loose.

    Thanks for that. That's the right Oliver part number. Baldwin shows the threads are 2 3/4 - 4, so you could put calipers on them to compare.

    on the subject, WIX has two versions, 51105 that is 6 3/8 tall and 51700 that is 8 1/8 tall. Has anyone used the taller version with success?
