    1944 Farmall H

    Ive got a 1944 H and it has a cast iron shift knob and a weird seat that has a bent piece of pipe for the frame. Ive heard this is called a war model. What else did they do to this era of tractor to make it a war model. Thanks for all the help.

    People are idiots, i run grain cart in the fall and have almost been hit numerous times during road transport. I just smile and wave at them. Glad your ok

    K301 valve adjustment

    I have a 12 hp K301 and it needs a valve adjustment I think. It sounds like piston slap but it has a new oversized piston that fits well. Does this have something to do with it.If so what are the adjustments specs and how do you do it? Thanks for the help.

    Famall H Stuck between gears?

    Had the same problem with our 460. It happened twice and woas stuck in 5th gear while the shifter was in neutral. As soon as you put it in gear it would stall. We bought a sloppy shifter fixer for $25 on ebay and it fixed it easily. Im not sure how hard it is to change on the H.

    I have a 1951 Farmall H. I am in the process of rebuilding it. I was wondering if anybody knew the head bolt torque ratings, bearing cap torque ratings, and the valve adjustments. Thank you very much for your help.
