    555D Engine in but more issues

    Think I found the problem on the fuel issue. Sealing washers are leaking on hand pump if you pump it hard and fast. If fuel can leak out air can suck in. Will replace with new and see if that solves problem. LB

    To add on the engine fuel problem: Started cold this AM. Fired right up on one turn of engine. Then every 6 to 12 seconds engine will drop 100 to 200 rpm then in a couple seconds will go back up. Shut off engine and restarted---ran about 5 seconds then dies like you turned it off. Will...

    Engine removal 555D Backhoe

    Engine removed. It was not a hard technical type job. Just alot to remove. Have new engine on skid ready to start back together. $5695 exchange. Kind of pricy.

    Timing Pump on 555D Backhoe

    Installing a Reman engine and don't have access to manual. Most everything is straight forward but might need info on timing pump. When we get to that the marks may be easy to figure out, but I thought I would be armed with info just to be safe. An pointers on that job? Thanks, LB

    555D Backhoe leaking water into oil

    Using machine and had alot of steam from valve cover breather tube. Shut down and oil was about a gallon too full with water. Drained out and put in clean oil. Pumped pressure test to 10 psi and it seemed to hold. Put in a bottle of K-Seal and did some work then shut down. Checked oil...

    I'm stupid

    I drilled a bunch of holes in concrete block with a mason bit. It sure was dull and I had to push with all I had. Woops---I put drill in forward rotation and it worked much better.

    This MF 20 with backhoe has a pto and lift arms up top. No lower arms or links but they are easy to get. None of these work---lift arms are down and the controls have no effect. The pto can be rotated by hand, engine off of course. Moving the control to engage and still can rotate the pto...
