Yes, sir. That is the serial number of the block. I was talking about the casting number right below and behind the oil pressure gauge line.

    560 questions and assumptions

I just blew up your picture and I can see the number 3675— so I’m guessing you have a stock 560 block and the Pistons and head have been changed. You may have gotten more than you planned on.👍

    560 questions and assumptions

About 6 inches further back is a cast number. On my 560 gas it is 367511R2. That should be what you should have. If so, the head has been changed and the pistons have been changed and the block could’ve been bored out to a 706 or an 806. Nobody knows. I’m always curious enough I would probably...

    560 questions and assumptions

The 460,560,660 gas had a high dome piston and a large combustion head. This combination was only used on these three tractors. Your head is definitely not one so that means the Pistons would be different also. They could have changed the Pistons and the head or you have a completely different...

    Farmall C263 governor problem

rustred : sorry for the confusion. It is a 560. Wore out seems to understand what I was saying. It idles just fine but when I throttle up the governor kicks in and the engine falls on its face. If I very slowly throttle it up I can get it up to high rpm and it runs fine but if I start to put a...

    Farmall C263 governor problem

I agree there is not much to them. I will check out the timing advance and my next step will pull the governor and see if there’s something broken inside. Thank you all.

    Farmall C263 governor problem

Sorry guys I just got back. The carburetors do not have a solenoid for the main jet the tractors are too old for that. I’ve built a half a dozen IH six cylinder gas engines and have never had a problem like this before. There’s no question about the carburetor at all. They are always set by the...

    Farmall C263 governor problem

Thanks for the info. When I get a chance I will put the timing light back on it. When I timed it last spring I don’t recall having any issues at idle or full throttle, But that will be easy to check.
