    39 h crank seal

    I am installing a new seal in the front crank cover. The one that I removed appears to have felt and rubber, and is deeper in dimension than the new one. The new one is just rubber and not as deep. Is this an updated seal or do I need to find one like the old one. Thanks in advance.

    6405 mfwd

    I have a 6405 that keeps blowing the fuse to the front end. When the fuse is blown it is engaged all of the time. Any ideas on where to look for the problem.

    H trans seal

    I'm putting a new motor in my 39 H. I haven't got down to the tranny seal yet but I want to replace it . Will the seal be accessible from the front, or do you have to get to the inside of the tranny

    Muffler or Straight pipe

    Typically the farmalls don't have any trouble getting rid of exhaust. I know that some people have tried to put bigger exhaust valves in farmalls and actually lost horse power. This would make me believe that a muffler would actually be better.The only way to really know is put it on a dyno.

    sparkplug.com will tell you the right size plug to use on any motor. For tractors go to the industrial link then you can go to farm tractors

    Farmall H Block Vs 300 or 350

    There is really no difference between a 300 and a 350. If you pull the sleeves out you can run a 3.80 piston. that will put the cubes up close to 200.

    I want to use autolite plugs in these tractors. Looking for help on the numbers. Is there a better brand?
