I did not check the control linkage positions when it was removed. So that could be an issue as well, I am guessing the specs for the linkage would be in the repair manual? I have a book from tractor supply, but honestly it feels pretty confusing and like not all the diagrams and pictures match... -

These pictures are before and after removing the plate, on videos I have seen there is a spring in line with the top hole. Mine did not though. The 3 point lift has worked in the past though, just took forever to get going, Any idea for a place to buy a replacement spring? -

I have posted a couple of other places too, and someone said that the unloader valve should be almost free floating, mine needed a little touch but wasn't free floating. Someone else recommended using part number C9NNH893A which is a metal ring. But also said the whole spool would have to be... -

You are correct but mine does not have a hole for it, in the Rachel video it is in the bottom left corner everything else is identical, you can even see a slight circle where it could be -

I did remove and clean the unloader valve I did not remove the control valve, there wasn't a saftey valve at all I may have re assembled it incorrectly, thought I did but I have been wrong before -

Update: Took the lift cover off last Saturday. Drained the hydraulic fluid Removed and exercised the unloading valve and replaced its o-ring. (Odd thing was all the videos I watched said there would be a spring behind the exhaust plate but mine did not) Was going to replace the safety valve but... -

67 Ford 4000 diesel Hydraulics
I am far from an expert I am currently battling hydraulic issues with my 68 4000. But a few things to check that have helped me, 1) What kind of oil did you use? The thickness matters and what I use and was recommended to me is "J20A Plus Utility Tractor Hydraulic Fluid" from tractor supply...- levihitt

I thought The square head in the picture was to prime the pump? There is a second square head on the other side to for the fill level. Tried the draft lever in both positions, fluid builds up in plug on the cover slowly and eventually overflows and i will tighten it back down. usually when...
