    1962 Case 431 Starting / Fuel Problems

    Is the cable for the fuel shut off working? When you push in on the cable is it moving on the pump. I've had trouble with mine before and had to move it forward by hand to get the fuel flowing. If my shut off cable isn't all the way forward, my tractor runs slower. I have the 530 diesel 1963.

    Kohler vs Kawasaki engines on zero turn mowers

    I have a 2005 Cub Cadet with the Kohler Command engine, 1100 hrs, from what I hear the Courage engine are not as well built. We also have a 1986 Cub Cadet with the Kohler Magnum 18 that we still use.

    I have heard of the solenoid valve going bad with symptoms you described, usually it will stall the engine when you come to a stop.

    Is there an easy way to dig a trench next to the house?

    I used a hoe and a short 4 foot spade shovel but we have sand here. I dug 6" deep an 6" wide per instructions. Then treated the trench by pouring out of a 5 gallon bucket.     Jump Box Recommendation

    JNC 660 (by Clore Automotive) is the best jump box by far, they are heavy but last for 10 years. Starts my 4 cylinder diesel tractor when its completely dead. I can use it probably 3-5 times between charging.
