    Opinion please

A guy hits a telephone pole that breaks off and falls on an old shed that two of my brothers and myself own. The shed is very old but was usable. I had a Ford 8N in it. Anyway the shed is now almost on its side. We had an estimate of $10,000 to fix it back up. The guy that hit the shed only...

    Electric Question

Thanks all for your help. The figures I gave were at our house with basically no load. The refrigerator, freezer and 220 water pump could have been running, but don't really know for sure. Thanks again for everyone's help.

    Electric Question

Our power goes out and we hook up stand-by power. Our stand-by power at 60HZ is putting out 128 volts. Will 128 volts be harmful to our house appliances? Thanks for any help!

    Not smart

Bruce, Not sure what I did, but it's running like a new one now. It only took 5 hrs. to get it running! I'm putting a light on the dash for when the switch is on. Thanks again for all you help. It is well appreciated.

    Not smart

Well, I left the ignition switch on. Now my front mount won't start. I cleaned the points and still no spark. What do I check next? Where do you put the multimeter wires to check the square can coil. It's a 12 volt, negative ground system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Resistor

I have a 1948 front mount 8N that has been converted to 12volts. The alternator has a internal regulator. There is one of those white block resistors in the 12 volt system-why is it there. I also have a resistor inline with the coil and I understand why it is there, but do not understand the...

    Question -Bushing

I'm installing the rear bushing in my front mount distributor. After it's installed, should I add a little grease, or doesn't what I think is a brass bushing get grease?
