    There are mesh to micron conversion charts on google. Just don't get it too fine or you'll be waiting for the fuel to flow the thru funnel. Copper or brass sounds like a good idea too - easier to shape than SS

    I have a lock in funnel as well. When my screen filter disappeared had to cut out a replacement and shape to fit the funnel. You're looking for 100 - 200 gauge mesh (US measurement) which is adequate for initial particulate filtering that may have found it's way into a fuel can. Or you could...

    Suggest keep the doors as lightweight as possible. You're going to need to be able to lift and hook them - maybe standing on a ladder. 'Mouse trap' doors like this are the most dangerous. Consider a pulley / counterweight system rather than lifting and hooking

    Coincidently, there is a 1916 Studebaker ED-6 on p. 67 of the July, 2026 Hemmings which sold at Bonhams, Scottsdale, Az auction recently. Looks like yours but shinier.

    back pack sprayers

    Had good luck with Jacto high end backpack sprayers. Prefer manual pump handle style without a pump and batteries. Determine how much weight you want to carry deciding on 3 gal vs 5 gal. The good news - they get lighter the more you spray

    Excellent. Not familiar w specifics of that club but most are very generous sharing knowledge. They'll likely get you hooked up w members that own/ have restored /have parts for similar vintage vehicles and advise you how to proceed.
