    30 miles home from an auction, late model JD B so it was slow. Dad and I took turns driving the tractor and waiting in the Chevy nova.

    If you have the JD parts # you can do a internet search for bearings. You might be better off looking for a parts tractor.

    There is no spring on the variator for wheel drive, but there is a spring loaded tensioner on the second belt back.

    That main bearing is down to the copper and has had it, the crankshaft looks bad for sure. The seal system will probably be overwhelmed with oil in any case.

    Nope don't use 12 volt you'll fry the coils, just one 6 volt.
