    What is it

I grabbed this picture from a for sale ad where the tractor was listed as a Massey Ferguson D18003 or D18004. Those look like serial numbers to me. Anybody know what this tractor really is?

    MF 65 rear wheel noise

I am a 135 guy so shouldn't probably comment on your model but I would put my money on brakes. Had the same on mine.

    Electric Question

Any chance you knew Clarence Walls at Crane?

    Barker Rim Saw

Google will get you a YouTube clip of a guy cutting chunks off a small log. Scary! He has the stabilizer leg and foot piece between his legs instead of on the ground under his foot. That put the top handle out front nearly on the ground instead of on top in his hand that has hold of the frame...

    Barker Rim Saw

The first saw was actually built in Ava, MO, a little inland town about fifty miles SE of Springfield. Don Sallee operated a welding shop there and did the metal work for the saw. My dad worked for Sallee for a short time back in the day. An uncle bought a Barker saw, one on a cable, and loved it.

    Barker Rim Saw

There seems to be very little information online about these saws. I tried to respond to a 2013 post here by Ray Matchell but it was too old. If anyone has one of these saws or information about their history, I would be interested in hearing from you.

MF 35 Utility right rear brake locking

I had exactly the same thing happening with my 135. Had it apart a couple of times before I discovered the problem. Of course, the first thing is to be sure the shoes and drum surfaces are okay. Mine were fine. The problem I found was with the backing plate behind the shoes. There are...

    135 steering box

Had heavy grease/oil coming out the top of my steering box. Dealer said probably just bad seals. Close to $600 to fix it. Drove it in and left it there. Got a call that it was apart and steering shaft was in bad shape. Did I want it cleaned up or replaced for another $600 in parts? I don't use...

MF 135 Clutch Pedal Relocation Option(?)

I have never liked press-down pedals and almost didn't buy my current 135 because of the press down pedals. I didn't realize so many others disliked them, but you sure got a good sampling of haters. When I learned to drive as a kid, I wasn't heavy enough to brake with press-down pedals...

pressure switch to make electrical circut

Check the wiring to your oil pressure gauge. Someone here told me about that when the fuel gauge quit recently on my 135. Found a wire off the back of the oil pressure gauge. Put it back on and the fuel gauge worked again.

    135 fuel gauge

This is a diesel. If power to the fuel gauge is controlled by an oil pressure sensor, how do I find that sensor? Can't trace the wire from the gauge because it goes to the voltage regulator.

    135 steering(?) oil leak

Thanks for the responses. I removed the battery so I could see the leak. There IS a vent on top of the steering box, forward of the steering shaft and well below where the power steering banjo fittings are. I filled the P-S reservoir and went back to mow again. Still works, still leaks a lot but...

    135 steering(?) oil leak

I am finding online that there is a vent on top of the steering box. The box likely has leaking seals that is forcing oil out the vent. Others say there is no vent and seals are likely leaking directly. Some say a plugged pump filter can cause this problem. Others say no chance of that. Lots of...

    135 fuel gauge

Thanks for the suggestions. I put a meter on the sending unit. No power. Checked at the gauge. No power. Gauge power comes through a short wire from a voltage regulator lug. Checked at the lug connecter. No power. That adds a new wrinkle. Haven't spent any more time on it yet.

    135 steering(?) oil leak

Mowed a couple of hours and noticed heavy oil leaking from high up on the left side of console pedestal where steering shafts connect. Haven't removed battery yet to look under it. What should I expect to find?
