    Is there any marking I can look for on gen to tell what brand I have in my TO35? There is no tag and no stamp that I can find on it.

    Thanks for info. this is what I got today playing with system, I put back to neg ground and polarized gen. I then started with gen disconnected I put volt meter to Armature, I got zero volts. I then changed battery to pos ground and tested with volt meter it had 12.36volts @ 1200rpm. I'm trying...

    Thanks will try that, I'm still lost to why wouldn't charge to start with. Before I had changed cables I had put starter/gen from my bolens 1250 an it didn't charge & I know that one dose.
