    Looking for a good MM tractor repair shop in Midwest

    Condensers seem to be of poor quality now. Just that you replaced with a new condenser does not render a good one. If you still have the ignition condensed you took out, might try putting back in distributor again. Echlin and Standard parts seem to be better.

    Most likely the shaft attached to that remote handle is rusted tight in the tube or sleeve it is in. Had same problem on a 255, had to heat tube with a torch to break rust loose . Prior to heating I sprayed several different kinds of penetrant, but no luck with that. When heating I...

    Red MF 245 Move Steering Wheel, Tires don't turn...

    Not sure of steering on MF 245, if it has hydraulic steering, with no direct linkage, front wheels will not change direction without engine operating hydraulic pump.

    This Massey Ferguson 135 may have the optional IPTO, which used the differential from the Massey Ferguson150, which had planetary gear drive My cousin had one.

    If your Massey Ferguson is indeed a 135, the optional IPTO used differential of the MF150, which had planetary gear drive. My cousin had a 135 like that.

    John Deere D 170 PTO

    Don't think anyone would have come in garage and changed wire leads in plug receptical that plugs onto pto switch. I might try a new switch to see if that is problem. Thanks for suggestion.

    PTO switch suddenly starting working backwards, PTO engagement knob pushed down was blades not turning, pulled up engaged clutch for blades to turn and mow. Works in reverse order now, down for PTO clutched engaged, which the switch knob has to be down for starter to operate to start engine...

    Don't remember ever seeing picture of orchard tractor with vertical exhaust. May have been an option if looks factory.

    MF 255 power steering

    The 255 Masssey Ferguson steering I am familiar with has hydrostatic power steering. No direct linkage to a steering gear box. The 255 has an orbital motor that direct fluid to two hydraulic cylinders that controls linkage to make the front wheels turn left or right.
