1956 641 timing question 134 gas
My owner's manual looks like the one you showed reading 8 degrees BTDC. It's my service manual that says 4 degrees Just trying to get all 48.4 HP out of the old girl. -

The Ford service Manual says to set timing to 4 deg BTC at 400 RPM. The operator manual says 8 deg BTC at 400 RPM. The service manual covers years up to 1964 so I have a feeling it's more up to date. Anyone know? Thanks Ed -

Ford 600 generator oil question
On my 600 134 gas motor I noticed that the generator was tipped so that the oil inlet at the back was tilted down so that the oil won't make it to the wick.. the belt length measures 41 .5 in which I think is correct. Is this the way it is on other similar machines or do I have something wrong... -

OC-46 Diesel timing and bleeding after pump replacement

Thought I'd finish up the thread. Adding cleaner to the pump didn't work. Sent it to Dieseltech for repair. Got my pump back in a few days - thanks for the quick work. Had a reasonable day today so I put the pump back in. Started right up - just before it started to sleet. Problem...- ltng7679

Any advice on a good cleaner? I used the machine quite a bit in the spring and like I said it ran fine in August, so I'm hoping it is no too stuck. Thanks for the quick reply When I changed he filters, I didn't notice any water in them. Are there any simple remedies short of a full rebuild I could try to free things up? I was wondering if it was possible to put some cleaner directly into he final fuel filter and then use he hand primer...- ltng7679

Looking for a good hydraulic fluid for my Oliver OC-4 Loader
What is a good hydraulic fluid that I can get for my OC-4. The manual says use 10W Supplement 1 engine oil or Type A automatic Transmission fluid. When I search on the NAPA site for this I don't come up with anything. Any suggestions. Thanks in Advance Ed- ltng7679
