    70 series gear ratios

i appreciate all your advice mel and when we build our next tractor that is the transmisson we will be using. I do realize the tranmissions in an 11 and 13 are completely diferent. we are not at the top levels of pulling. we are mostly pulling 3000 rpm classes and changing govener springs and...

    1175

its a HUGE undertaking to get a 1370 to 9500 but it can be done. i think it would be easier to get the 1175 to your target weght but a 70 series case has a lot of cast on them and they are heavy!! good luck

no luck there, lots of assembley diagrams, no luck on tractordata either. the advertised speed for both tractors the same in 3-3 but diffferent for other gears, running out of ideas

    70 series gear ratios

so I have discovered i really need a little taller gear on dad's 1370 hot farm/10,500 open tractor. my question is there a way to make 3-3 higher or 4-1 lower? we can get out in 4-1 with the shorter tires we have but it wheel hops more times than not. in 3-3 with taller tires still run out of...

    770 puller

rpm limit is 6000 and i have several small block chevys from the roundy round days that will do that all day with the right heads intake and carb, i want to get as close as i can to the 6000 mark. i guess i should say 18.4-34 tires are what i have, 18.4-38 biggest tire you can have

    770 puller

i've seen what happens to a M, also just helped my buddy with a massy44 fix a lot of rear end pieces and i don't know much about olivers other than before we switched to case we were all ollivers and dad pulled an 88 back in the day so thats what i want to build. just wondering if this tractor...

    770 puller

ok so the under over out for sure, i don't have to worry about fitting in the tub as we really only need the rear end and sheet metal, allowed to build our own front frame. so general opinion is find an 88 or earlly 880 rear end? 770 rear isn't as tough?

    770 puller

should mention the tractor of choice seems to be a massy 44 or farmall m, there is a guy in this class with a 88 non super and that seems to hold up well
