    Thanks msm that's what I thought but wasn't sure I put 4 in has new pump cleaned the lines new filter new fuel still wont fire getting fuel to injectors but not thru them

    Working on jd 455e injectors out of engine are marked 24188 it is a 4276T engine what number injector do I need to replace them. Cant find anything listed to replace that number thanks for the help.

    Brake Job

    It was in there to keep dust and dirt out so not to wear brake shoes depends on what and how much you use the tractor for if used here and there shouldnt hurt.I use mine for landscaping work part time on weekends and havnt had a problem also do bush hogging with it.

    I dont use them when i just did a brake job on my 8N if the brakes are tight without them are you sure you got all the springs on right and the shoes are centered.I didnt have a problem with mine but my drums are pretty wore but for all i use it for i wasnt spendin thr money on new ones.

    I had a similar situation on my 165 being that the pin wore clear thru your rear bushing mine did the same.To fix properly i milled rear bushing hole in casting a little bigger and made a oversize bushing on the lathe.     Thanks bruce i am going to run points for now i had a guy a local new holland dealer tell me i didnt need the resistor with 12 volt bat and 12 volt sqaure coil glad i asked before eliminating the resistor. He didnt seem to have a clue about the older tractors he just try pushin a new new holland...

    Also where is #1 cylinder starting at radiator end so i can set valves is it 1 2 3 4 from the cylinder closet to the radiator to back of engine.

    Yes it is still the sqaure coil now when i buy the kit to convert to ei and go to round coil do i still need it.i will be getting kit from here at yt.

    I have a 48 or 49 8N front mount changing over to electronic ignition it is 12 volt now with 12 volt coil. MY question is with 12 volt battery and 12 volt coil do you still need the resistor it has points in it now. just wanting to know if resistor needed with points.

    That # is d17-20082 but there is no # on block by carb where i have seen serial # for the engine stamped on other d17 tractors i have looked at.

    AC D 17 fluid for power director

    Thanks texas allis was wondering where oil fill was for diff. Do you pull the pans off bottom of final drives to drain them and when refilling does fluid flow out the axles to fill finals back up or is there plugs for that also.thanks for the help.
