    another pipe dream

Something common these days is to use a big track hoe. Knock it over, chew the root ball down, then pick it up and set it aside. Kinda amazing to see.

    TD6 fuel injectors

Bosch injectors are not same as IH units. Different diameter. Make sure of what they are first.

How about this for a fuel can alternative?

A couple come to mind but are still way better than the crap new ones. The clear hoses get old and stiff and will break one day. It is what it is. They are a little tall and tend to tip over when travelling unless secured. The squat cans are easier about that. The hose may break when...

MTA Diesel just dies when switched over to diesel

I have a couple of 6 cylinder Bosch and one is new, but the only 4 cylinder unit is probably best for parts.

OT - photographers why do I lose my blue sky?

Thing is the camera sensors have to deal with direct light and reflected light. Reflected is much weaker. They don't have the ability to handle that much span. Your eye does a better job but in a limited way and it makes them respond differently. Your eye only pays detailed attention to the what...

    Cooling syatem push fan TD-9

Huber fan. Found this quote from 2009. " Tim Waterhouse at <[email protected]> he quoated me 280.00 for a reversable fan for my 14. This is what I was going to do as to have best of both worlds Till I found a pusher fan off a TD-9 they are the same."

    Cooling syatem push fan TD-9

Curtis, this is still a place that makes new ones to fit. Wish I could think of the name. We have talked about it on Red Power. You give them a spec and they put it together for you. A little pricey but not terrible. Technically it is a reversible (not a pusher) so even better in a way. IH...

    farmall md lower bolster

I don't remember the details but some time back this came up somewhere and the answer surprised me. Seems like it is different front to back? Maybe the later longer tractors units match the MD?

    400 diesel

They can be shimmed to adjust but it isn't usually necessary and as we know that carb is a pain to remove. Tweaking the advance is more useful for the most part.

    Low diesel fuel pressure

Borrow another gauge to check it. Those tend to get stiff. Also of note is that many injection primary pumps were later changed to produce less pressure, many are 35 to 40 PSI.

Clearing 1/2 to 2.5 trees with bushhog

I found that pulling them out was a better way to go generally. Still had a lot of problems with the moldboard plugging up from roots that remained. They catch on the plow like bits of baling twine. Leaving the entire stump would have to be a very irritating experience. Pulling was pretty...

    MTA Diesel fuel filters

Originally there was only the single low budget string filter. Somebody figured out that not protecting the little pump was indeed a bad idea and they added the "aux" filter (with the cheap element) to keep out rocks and stuff. Along the way the second filter got "improved". Eventually filter...

    TD14

Pretty sure the hyd booster didn't come along until a later model. 142 I think. Major items for the 14A: Power boosted from 68.5 to 76. Improved injector pump. Double fuel filter. Cross flow head. Pressurized radiator. Improved water circulation. Steering clutch booster springs...

    650 D injector pump

This should be a B pump, with IH on the casting. If worn, while running they will leak out the vent drip tube from internal leakage. Only fix is to have it rebuilt or of not too much then use a catch can to stop the mess. If coming out the filler tube etc, then as the others have said.

    shifting question

Standard quote used to be "they'll make em out of rubber next year". I still remember my teacher/neighbor telling me that after missing a 5-4 shift on their H with her standing on the drawbar. It was embarrassing, but she just chuckled.
