    Worst job ever, or not?

I agree with Billy Shafer and Tony in sd, cleaning out chicken house was the worst job. The wind always seemed to blow so that it blew back at you as you pitched it out the door into the spreader.

    Oversize (xtra-long) load.

Have seem a lot of those here in central Kansas. They usually travel in threes. We have a storage facility here in Barton County for the components, a really large area. Don't know if this is a central distribution area or what. Pretty awesome when traveling through town, or when you meet them...

OT: Going to Kansas for the weekend!

Enjoy your return trip to kansas. I think the reopening of the big well in Greensburg is this weekend, "worlds largest hand dug well" I think. Our family farm is about 20 miles north of Great Bend. Fence rows around here are getting pretty well cleaned up. Have a safe trip. Gary

    Antique Tank Heater

We had one of those heaters. Worked very well. Grandpa rigged up a tank of used motor oil to drip through a center hole in the lid to keep a fire going all night. Dad always had a pile of large chunks of fire wood near by also.

No Spark on Stihl 041 AV Chainsaw

Have you ever heard of the electronic ignition conversion setup for small engines. I picked up a couple of basket case Stihl 041 AVs several years ago and found one had been converted and one had electronic ignition from the factory. I think you can still get the conversion at NAPA. Don't need...

Hot and dry again today, central Kansas

David, been there done that. I grew up in a house built in 1900, didn,t get below 90 on 100 degree days in our upstairs bedrooms and had frost on the ceilings from our breath in winter. Mom still lives there and is to stubborn to turn on the AC most days.
