    production prices

Well said. This has been brewing for a couple of years globally. Like stated above, lots of contributing factors. Fertilizer manufacturers watch grain prices and want a set piece of the pie. When you can sell high price grain a couple years out, not much to drive fertilizer prices down. NG...

New 2N owner, new to the whole lifestyle really.

Simple tractors to work on and great for teaching basic mechanical skills. Most everything can be done with basic tools and knowledge. My two boys help me with my old Ford all the time and love working on it. While a newer tractor will run circles around it with the ergonomics advancements of...

??? What is this off of???

I ve seen those horizontal air cleaners on the old Big Dipper loaders and forklifts with the 172 industrial engines as well as some of the later Mobility loaders with the continental motors, all used extensive in dry fertilizer sheds and potato sheds.

    measuring hydraulic fluid?

Sounds like your dipstick is marked for the later row crop tractors that had a front bolster with oil. Use the bolt hole method and note where this falls on the dipstick.

You can't have too many tools

I have the " base model" at work. Uses the die shims instead of the micrometer and has the electric pigtail control instead of the foot pedal. We keep it in a compartment of the service truck for sprayer repairs in the field, and it has proven to be priceless when one factors in down time.

Here is one that tends to get decent traffic. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum232/ It is dedicated to 2ton and bigger fords.

Introduction and help me figure out what I just bought ;)

Looks like a good find. Looks like you are in the Black Forest area. Lots of small fords around there. They are the right size for that area. Small and easy to maneuver under trees to mow or do a little blading. You will find many excuses to use your new toy. Dad wasn’t sold on a tractor until I...

Ever hear of a seven cylinder motor???

We have that same engine (agco power/sisu in-line 7) in a Terragator 9300b. Runs very smooth, has the same power as the C13 powered terragators, and about half as loud. Seems to be a much shorter block than the cat. They did have a recall last year. Came and replaced the whole long block on...

    4010 front tires - 10.00-16 airplane

Dad has sold many used C-130 tires for farm use. They are really common on batwing mowers. Don’t usually go flat, and with lighter loading,( like on a mower) they will hold the load even without air due to being 22 or 24 ply.

    How many hours...

Saw the same thing on a Zenith on a Wisconsin VG 4D in a man lift. It was a gas/propane unit run for many years on just propane. The bottom of the float also wore through a pinhole from vibration.

    CDL

Last dew times, I used a passport for the hazmat background check and prints. Brought the paper from homeland security for the proof of citizenship. Worst part is I have to drive 150 miles to the nearest hazprint location.

Dodge motor in a Chevy truck.

They will run all day governed at 2500. We have one in an articulated sprayer that we use to spray sulfuric acid on potatoes. Load the tank with 1000 gal (15300 lbs) of acid and run down soft potato rows. Pulls 380/90/46 rubber at 10 mph all day on the governor.

How many mechanics test drive your car?

Little brother works for a collision repair shop that test drives every repair on a designated route to keep things consistent. It is about a 15 minute drive. He left the other day to test drive a car owned by a USAF bird colonel and got hit sitting at the traffic light 100 feet from the shop...

    HEre is a HUGE gate!!!

Cool idea. We have plenty of things run off center drive sprinkler motors too. Lots of torque due to the high gear reduction and completely sealed and weatherproof. Wonder if that is still a three phase motor or retrofitted to single phase.
