    AUCTION- F-20, H, SM, 560, A

I thought this would be of interest to some. On June 27th there will be an auction in Sullivan WI. There is an H with an IH loader and fenders, a Super M with 18.4-38's and a spring hitch and fenders, a 560 gas with an IH loader, an old A and an F-20 standard. The standard is rough but has alot...

    international 404 hydraulics

My 504 utility did the same thing and it turned out to be the spring in the hyd filter housing. After a hyd fluid and filter change it worked perfectly. Good luck

    300 clutch

After 2 weekends of messing around with the press. plate and disc, I measured the inside of the pilot bearing on the flywheel. If you look at it it looks like the right one and I did stick my finger in it last weekend to check if it was tight. . It turns out it is not the right one. I pulled...

    300 clutch

As far as i can see there are no signs of any other bolts or threaded holes on plate. In theory, if clutch was not engaging and if I put it in gear and hand cranked it the tractor wouldnt move. I tried that, put trans in 1st gear, (coil wire off) clutch out, and cranked her and she moves...

    300 clutch

As far as I can tell the throw out bearing is working on the fingers ( thats what you mean, right) correctly. When I have my buddy press in clutch and I look from underneath. Then when I start it, it will grind real bad when trying to get it in any gear. Thanks

    300 clutch

There are 6 bolts and they are all threaded directly into the flywheel. They are all on the outer edge of press plate assembly. Are you saying that there MIGHT be different holes from backing plate into press plate that are threaded to compress springs? I will check if I can see any from insp...

    300 clutch

I did not. The man said he bought everything new (which it sure looks like to me) and installed it then never started the tractor after that. Another thing I noticed was the long rod from the clutch pedal to the clutch shaft was bent quite a bit. I straightened that and re-installed it. Do the...

    300 clutch

When I bought this 300 the guy said he changed clutch, throw out bearing and press.plate and also had flywheel turned. He never started it after that. When I had problems adj. the clutch I looked in inspection cover and noticed press. plate was not bolted to flywheel. I did not know if this was...

    300 12v conversion

I believe it, and believe it or not, I understand it. When you put it that way it makes perfect sense, albeit somewhat fascinating to think of. I cannot thank you enough for your time explaining this to me. It would have taken quite awhile just finding the proper reference containing this...

    300 12v conversion

Ive got it. That was my fault, I did not mean "polarize" the reg. I meant generator after the new reg. was installed. So basically the reg. works as a resistor with a variable amount of ohms/res. to ground directly related to how many vdc pass thru it? Or does it read vdc off battery and then...

    300 12v conversion

OK, so if I am listening properly, I do not polarize a new 6v {assumung I stay 6v, pos.gnd} voltage regulator when rebuilt/new 6v. gen is installed? Or only if it is not "polarity specific?" So if the new reg. is as the old ones, I would do as always and polarize it to pos. gnd. I am assuming...

    300 12v conversion

One more question. If I go with a 12v gen, does tractor have to be switched to neg. ground? Thats not a problem, just wondering. Thanks

    300 12v conversion

Well, now I am really going to have to think...My generator is stuck tight so it will be dropped off at the repair shop this week. I guess I will know about regulator after I get gen. back, usually 2-3 days with this shop. I know of no way to check regulator except gen. running. As this will not...

    300 12v conversion

Thanks, i did notice the solenoid attached to the starter when removing it. I have been looking more closely at this tractor and am wondering if I should leave it original as it is pretty nice the more I clean it.
