    Yes that's right heavy wire from alternator goes to the same post as positive battery cable. Testing with a voltmeter at battery terminals

    It's a new alternator 7127-3 1 005. There was no rubber plug over the spade terminals I've tried it with one heavy wire to the battery post and nothing. The wire off the battery stud goes to the starter solenoid for power

    The number one wire is ran to the solenoid so it has a switched power once keys on. Have tried jumping number 1 and still nothing tractor doesn't charge at half throttle 1200 ish rpm. It's a delco 1102 480 61A.

    This one runs smooth at that rpm. Just seems when clutch comes out it starts missing and sputtering

    Doesn't starve under load while working it. Seems once let clutch out and govenor opens up that's when it starts to sputter and miss

    Back again... Having carb troubles with 670 once it's running runs good idles fine etc. 1500 rpm pushing runs good can work it and doesn't loose power, stop and let clutch out it'll drop rpm to 1200 and start sputtering then catch itself if clutch is pushed in or chokes grabbed quick, at a loss...

    No hole in the float, the needle seals up doesn't like just floats are out of adjustment

    What's the specs for adjusting floats so they don't overflow the carb? Seem if I move it a bit then it's not getting enough fuel or its too high and overflowing the carb

    That's what I'm thinking. Might switch couplers around to new ones instead of running adapters
