    Just Bought a 550 Oliver

Thanks for the reply, that gets that out of my head. Is it true that only a 58 would have the PTO lever behind the 3 pth lever? If so mine would have to be a 58. Just curious what was a "mobile home special"? What options did it carry?

    Selling Tractor ??

I'd say this site is a great way to start. It's free and LOTS of people from all over USA and Canada as well as the rest of the world look here daily. New addition - 550

You lucky &%$#*%$! Yep, the Cockshutts are worth more and I'd love to find one. I too just bought an Oliver 550 but it's too old to be a Cockshutt. It may be tough to get decals for it but it'll look great if you restore it!

    Just Bought a 550 Oliver

Thanks for the reply AB. I've ordered the operators and service manuals from here at YT. I may take Fernan's advice and order the parts manual as well and maybe I'll get it from the museum. The build card would certainly be neat to have as well. Thanks for the info

    Just Bought a 550 Oliver

Thanks ShepFL, No, it"s not Les" 550. :o) From reading that first article my 550 might be a "58. I forgot to get the serial # when I bought it but the PTO lever is a big one behind the 3 pt control on the RH side. The author of that article said that makes it a 58. I might still have your...
