    Machine Shops in NW Wisconsin

Does anyone know of a machine shop in NW Wisconsin ? I have removed the engine and clutch assembly from my 1947 A and want to take it to a machine shop that will do a thorough look-see, including the clutch if necessary.

    Farmall A engine removal

Thanks all for the speedy replies ! The tractor is completely stripped - jack stands under the final drives, and a stand made of angle iron is bolted to the transmission housing. It appears to be well-balanced for engine removal. I do not envision the tractor flipping over backwards. Any thoughts ?

    Farmall A engine removal

I am ready to remove the engine from my 1947 A. With the use of my "cherry picker", where are/is the best lifting points ? In other words, how do I attach the chains to the engine to enable the removal ?

The oil pan part number for the A is 355735R91. For the SA it is 355735R92. Are these interchangeable ? I need a new/used one for my A. Thank you !
