    Farmall Tractor Identification

A few years ago, there were 2 hi clearance models sitting on a junk tractor dealer's lot in Georgetown, Ohio right on St. Rt125. Both had cultivators on them I believe. Mark.

    3 Point Carry All

We had an IH fast hitch one on our dairy farm growing up. It was 4x6, extended from being 2x6 from the factory. No exaggeration, it was used almost every day all year. And hooked and unhooked most of the time to use other tools on the tractor. I now have it, but only rarely use it. Having a side...

IH 584 pto not stopping with clutch

Some PTO powered implements I like 'transmission PTO'. For example, a post hole digger and a hay rake are 2 that come to mind. A mower of any kind, a baler, I want 'independent PTO'. Mark.

IH 584 pto not stopping with clutch

The 584 has live PTO. It runs independent of the clutch. Has its own hydraulic clutch pack controlled by the valve controlled by the lever. You don't need to step on the clutch to engage or dis engage the PTO. Your Massey has non-live PTO, the clutch disengages and engages it. Mark.

    Sub Soiler

I have a fast hitch subsoiler, but I think you only have add on 3pt hitch. I would lend it to you. Mark.

    Woods mower blades

I bought blades for a 6' Woods (Cadet 72)that I had. Got them from Woods dealer, very reasonable price. Cheaper than an aftermarket set that I found. Mark.

    Lift arm extensions for 8n

2 previous 8n's that Dad and my uncle owned had a side mower, but the 8n I grew up with did not. Dad said the r/h arm attached to a cable that ran under the tractor, and, raised and lowered the mower. Mark.

    Lift arm extensions for 8n

What would those be needed for? I grew up with an 8n and I can't think of a need for them. Mark.

Rookie Mistake - 1979 Ford 4600 ignition switch

Using an ohm meter to test continuity between switch terminals is how I would start. One wire will be from the battery- always 'hot'. It will go on the terminal that has continuity with other terminals in all the various key positions. So, find that terminal first. Then one terminal will have...

    Roundup/2-4-D

    I don't think so. Mark.

    Roundup/2-4-D

I never mix, but I do sometimes use a surfactant if the label says to. Roundup is non-selective: it kills everything-grass or weeds, but not brush. 2 4 D is used on broadleaf plants-young weeds usually. To kill brush/small trees/briars-Crossbow is a product that I commonly use. Once an undesired...

    IH 364 diesel British

Always clean and dry the area thoroughly, run it at operating temperature and rpm. And just stare at it until the leak appears. Mark.

    Poison Hemlock Question Again

I am VERY interested to know if the seeds are still viable (hope I used that word correctly!) I don't use glysophate on it though, I use crossbow. When it is small, 2 4 d will kill it. This spring I used Nova Graze on my pastures and have only found one cluster of hemlock in a wooded area. I...

    Poison Hemlock Question Again

I looked up the definition of pith and pithy, and Tom's description is accurate. Mark.
