Ford 3000 four wheel drive-collector value?

I've been looking for a front end 4 wheel drive conversion that would fit my 3400. Hills & mud is the norm around our area. Sure would help out to have 4WD. Wonder who made it?

New to me 1965 2000 gauge question.

Looks to me like it's had an engine fire. That would explain the wire harness there looking toasted & the missing cluster. Just as a precaution I would be fixing all those "leaks", and give it a once over for degreasing first before I ran it too much. Old tractors can become very...

    Tractor Trouble

Sounds like the fluid & filter change is a good place to start. Really should find out where that fluid is leaking from before it causes a bigger problem.

    Fuel Cap

Hi Oro, Welcome to the Ford forum. It is best to start a new thread to ask your questions and always include your tractor numbers if you know them. Is your tractor a 100 series or 1000 series, 3 or 4 cyl etc.?

    overcharge!

If that is the voltage measured while running/charging, your system is working fine. Minimum charging voltage on a 12V system should be around 13.8 volts while the max is approximately 15V.

    Ford 545C P417 or?

The CNH parts site shows the FP418 kit and when I checked the availability it gave me this "85804740 is a replacement part for the obsolete part(s) 83971963" I did a google search for that 85804740 number and seems like everyone has them. First return was Amazon.

    It must be spring

Your newly painted parts are looking good Ultradog. Wish it would get nice around here. They promised 51 and overcast today. What we got was 43 partly sunny with light showers and wind at around 30 mph all day. Now they say it is supposed to break 60 tomorrow and be sunny. If it is maybe...

    Interesting video

My guess - Cracked cap through one tower with one cylinder running engine. Cap in the air leaves no place for the spark to find ground through the crack to the metal of the dist, so it goes to the plug. Sure sounded rough enough to be running on one cyl. Would be a fun one to diagnose.

601 starter just spinning, not engaging

Sounds like your starter is just fine. If it is spinning fast, the drive is stuck as souNdguy said. If you find the drive is damaged and unrepairable after cleaning it up this site offers a replacement for a 600 that should fit your 601.

    Jubilee Cut Away Running

Thanks for the info JMOR. That makes sense to me. Does anyone know: - Is an older tractor differential much different than a car differential? - Were there ever tractors made without differentials? I know there are a few different types of automotive/truck differentials. Open, LSD...

    Jubilee Cut Away Running

Thanks for the explanation Sean. I found a few other videos that had tractors on jacks spinning wheels. They mostly were showing the same motion as this one did. Both wheel same direction about the same speed. I did find one that showed one wheel much faster than the other...

    Jubilee Cut Away Running

Nice cut-a-way. I know the wheels should turn opposite directions when you have it up on jacks, tranny in neutral, turn from one wheel then watch the other. I thought powering the wheels with a motor from the tranny input, whether on or off the ground, should have the wheels turning same...

    941D all but done

Looks like a sweet ride. Nice Job indeed. Is that the 950 in back sneaking into the picture again? Hmmm Glad to see someone else beside me putting the old plastic litter buckets to use too. They are great for carrying just about anything like waste oil, water, rags and the cats don't mind...
