Settings for the 165 lift cover

Ronie-If I understand what you need Here is following from MF 165 Service Manual: Install Master control spring and adjust using special tool FT 358 to obtain no end-play by turning in or out on nut and tighten setscrew to 40-65 in.-lbs. (Later): Master control spring: Screw plunger into...

Any of you have a Massey Harris 44-6

I have two MH 44-6: standard and row crop. Smooth running tractors. Just don't expect them to pull like a MH 44. The 260 in a MH 44 puts the MH 44-6 226 to shame. Regular MH 44 has a lot of lugging power. The 44-6 operates more like a diesel: when it bogs down, it goes down in a hurry...

    Massey Harris 44

CharlesTX -- I am lucky in that I have a farmer about 30 miles away who runs a radiator repair shop on the side. Or maybe its the other way around. Regardless, he has repaired several radiators for my Masseys and Fergusons. We have an understanding that if I take him a radiator that isn't...

    front tires for MH 22

Agree with Wonder. The wider the tire, the better flotation, therefore ride. Generally easier to steer with wider tires. But if you are just interested in restoring the tractor for shows, use whatever you want. Tire brands are like dentists. The cheaper the price, the cheaper the product...

    Massey 44

Several 44s on Craigslist. Just check different cities tab. Also Aumann Auction is running auction right now with lots of Masseys, some 44s. Check May 17 auction, Fred Wolffe I believe is name.

    massey harris 30 #6mower

The drive chain on the #6 mower is supposed to be encased and bathed in oil. Sounds like you don't have the second half of the metal. A gasket between the two pieces prevents leakage.

Massy Ferguson 3 baler sheer pin

I'll give you an entirely different wrinkle. When my MH baler shears a pin, it come right out. And, yes, the bolt can go in either way. If it is not shearing 'evenly' the flywheel and/or driver may be worn on the spline. Check for a wobble on the flywheel. It also could be the ;bolt that...

    MF150 Cylinder Head Bolts

Get a parts book. Takes the guess work out of tearing a tractor down and putting it back together. Just worked on my F-40 and it had three different lengths of bolts for the head. They were not interchangeable.

    MF 85

They could be decent tractors, but kinda like cats: Either you had a good one or there is no such thing. I know from experience parts for engine are very difficult to find. Massey did not do a lot of testing on the model before production.

    f40 water pulley

Anyone help with a source for a water pump pulley for a F40 Continental. Or water pump and pulley assembly. I have a rebuilt water pump, but shop broke the pulley trying to get it off old one. Thanks in advance.

    Massey harris no 37

One more thought: I have the policy to not buy any plow that does not have all the coulters. If one or more is missing, it can be a real pain trying to find one much less a match to what is on there. There are several styles of coulters used so one plow may or may not match yours. Good luck!

    Massey harris no 37

My son restored a 37 plow few years back, but it was all there. Parts can be hard to find, but MH sold a ton of those so they still show up frequently on various selling sites. It does a good job if you intend to use it. Pulls easy and stays in the ground.

Just Bought a Massey Harris 306 Drill

I have a 306 but has single openers, not double. Use closers in the seed box to restrict seed flow. One side is larger than the other so the seeding rate is thicker. Also can use the speed adjustment in the front of the drill to slow the seeding rate. I also notice yours has ether small seed...

    Ground Speed PTO

The ground speed is great for 'unclogging' implements also. Put in ground speed, back up gently until the clog can be safely removed.
